History: Birchandra Manu SSVM was established in the year 1953 as a primary school with a view to imparting education to the students off the interior village. The school has been running very smoothly with the co-operation of the villagers from the beginning. It was upgraded to a senior basic school in 1984, to a high school in 1989, and Higher Secondary (+2 stage) School in 1995. The school was then named Birchandra Manu Sahid Smriti Vidyamandir Higher Secondary School.
Vision: To provide quality education with a scientific knowledge according to the needs of time and to ensure all round development of the child.
